We have developed a set of documents and protocols on Eduka using styled boxes (InfoBox, LockBox, WarningBox, DocRefBox) as well as formatted tables. The rendering in the browser interface is today very satisfactory and allows for clear and professional presentation of content.
1. Finer management of editing rights (priority)
It would be very useful to be able to manage editing rights on articles more finely.
In particular to differentiate by user the rights to edit and validate/publish and subsequently allow operation in "workflow" mode (drafting → validation → publication)
This would make it possible to secure institutional content while facilitating collaborative work.
2. Management of simultaneous edits / page locking
By default, automatic saving every minute is enabled on the knowledge base. Working frequently across multiple windows, it regularly happens that two or more windows are open simultaneously on the same document. In this case, automatic saving from another window can take over the page you are working on, resulting in loss of changes or inconsistencies.
It would therefore be desirable:
- either to be able to disable or configure automatic saving more finely (not enabled by default, or with user control),
- or to implement a locking system (lock): when a user edits a page, it cannot be modified elsewhere, including in another window of the same user.
It is apparently a minor detail, but one that can waste a lot of time and generate confusion before identifying the source of the problem.
3. Current limitations of PDF export
When exporting a native Eduka PDF, the graphic rendering is lost:
- the boxes lose their formatting
- CSS pseudo-elements (::before, ::after) are not interpreted
- the final result does not reflect the quality of the original content
Suggestion: improving the PDF export engine
Replace or supplement the current engine (e.g. WeasyPrint, wkhtmltopdf) so that PDF exports accurately reflect HTML/CSS rendering, including custom graphic elements.
4. Cover page option
When exporting a category or selection of articles, allow the school to choose a custom cover page.
This feature would be particularly useful for regulatory submissions or official documents requiring careful presentation.
