Hello everyone,

The school year is starting again, and with it a series of deliveries prepared throughout the summer. We wanted to give you an overview of what is coming to your platforms: what is already live, what will be delivered in the coming days and weeks, and what our teams are working on for the rest of the year. The dates given are those of the release on the production platforms.

New modules

School Trips

Available in production during September 2026

An entirely new module dedicated to organising school outings and trips, from the creation of the project through to its closing: circular to families, parental consents and forms, registrations and billing, internal supervisors and external accompanying adults, on-site attendance taking and monitoring of participants. It was designed from the combined needs of several schools in the network, which had until now been managing their trips with spreadsheets and external forms. Students who are away on a trip are automatically reported to the services concerned, in particular the canteen and transportation.

Invitations to the presentation webinar have been sent. Register for the webinar.

Centralized Access (SSO server)

Available in production during September 2026

Eduka becomes the central portal of your school. Your users access these applications from Eduka without re-entering credentials, and the school keeps full control: declaration of the connected applications, choice of the account types allowed, monitoring and revocation of sessions, technical logs and a global switch-off. A webinar will be organised shortly.

e-Learning

Available in the fourth quarter of 2026, open to schools from the first quarter of 2027

Eduka is building its own learning platform, integrated into the solution: a catalogue of courses structured into sections and chapters, rich content and videos, self-marking quizzes, practical cases, a roadmap and progress tracking for each learner. It will first be deployed on our customer area for Eduka training, before being opened to schools that wish to use it for their own content. A webinar will be organised.

The major evolutions of the summer

Automatic timetable generation

Available in production in the coming weeks

Until now, the Timetables module only allowed courses to be built manually, or synchronised from an external application. It is receiving an automatic generation engine: you enter your constraints (teaching hours per subject and per class, teacher availability, the school's time slots, room capacity and type), you launch the generation on the perimeter of your choice, then you adjust the result as a draft scenario before publishing it as real courses. The courses you pin are kept as they are, and no publication is possible as long as a conflict remains. A webinar will be organised.

Global calendar: month view, year view and list mode

Available in production in a few days

The global calendar, which brings together for a given person the events of every module (timetable, absences, meetings, transportation, requests...), was locked on a weekly display. A selector now lets you switch between the Week, Month, Year and List views, with filters and a search. This evolution was requested by a school that routes its educational projects through the Workflow module and wanted a yearly overview of them.

Visual modernisation of the oldest modules

Available in production in a few days

Several modules whose screens dated back to the first versions of Eduka have been reworked to match the current design standards: admission management first of all, then school structure, student and parent management, documents and staff data. The charts of the existing dashboards have also been rebuilt on a common graphics engine, more legible and more consistent from one module to the next.

Teacher portal: columns of the student list

Available in production during September 2026

In the teacher portal of the Classroom Hub module, the columns that the school could open were limited to the student's own data, the setting was the same for every teacher, and each data item added became a permanent column. The administration now opens a much broader referential (guardians, family, other contacts and dynamic data), distinguishes the data displayed by default from the data simply made available, and each teacher composes their own list of columns within the limits set by the school. The download button gains new outputs, including the list of guardians and the photo directory.

Infirmary: history of health data

Already available in production

Infirmary data is the most sensitive the platform handles, and it deserved full traceability. Every entry, modification and deletion of a treatment is now recorded with its author, its date and the detail of what changed, including bulk deletions. The school can therefore answer in the event of a family dispute or an inspection, and nurses working in shifts can easily reconstruct what a colleague has corrected.

New Excel file generation engine

Active after the infrastructure migration planned in the coming months

The library that produces and reads Excel files in Eduka is being replaced by a modern engine, able to handle far larger volumes and much more reliable on recent formats. This evolution will only become active after the infrastructure migration that will move our servers to PHP 8.5, planned in the coming months.

Interface translations and the arrival of American English

Release during September 2026

All of Eduka's labels have been through a compliance campaign in the eleven languages of the platform, driven by a reference glossary: mistranslations corrected, terminology unified from one screen to the next, and a complete visual review of the administration screens and of the portals. English, which until now mixed manual and machine translation, has been entirely harmonised, and an additional language is appearing: American English, for the schools whose audience expects that variant.

Notifications in the recipient's language

Already available in production

The notifications sent by the platform, in particular on the mobile application, did not always respect the language chosen by their recipient. They are now composed in the language of the account receiving them, and not in that of the user or of the process that triggers them. A detail in appearance, but one that makes a real difference for schools whose families speak different languages.

Attendance: management of early departures

Already available in production

A student who leaves the school during the day can be reported as such, and their schedule immediately reflects the real situation: remaining courses, extra-curricular activities, canteen and transportation are adjusted accordingly. The report can be entered from the Attendance module, but also directly from the Infirmary module when the departure follows a visit to the infirmary, as well as from the parent portal.

Attendance: absence reason details

Already available in production

The absence reason was enough to classify an absence, not to understand it: thirty absences for "Illness" in the same week do not tell you whether these are thirty independent cases or the start of a contagious episode. A second level of qualification therefore appears, the reason detail, whose content each school defines freely, reason by reason: symptoms under "Illness", types of appointment, kinds of family event. The detail is configured as a single or multiple choice, mandatory or optional, is entered by the family as well as by the administration, and is available as a column, as a filter and in the export.

New version of the mobile application

Release during September 2026

A new version of the mobile applications is arriving on the app stores, with a large number of fixes arising from your feedback. Above all it brings a complete redesign of the online payment journey, clearer and more reliable from end to end for the families who settle their invoices from their phone.

Message templates: folders, sharing and search

Release during September 2026

The message templates of the Communication module can now be organised into folders and shared between users, which changes everything for schools that have built several dozen of them over the years. At the same time, the management screen and the "Load a template" window regain the keyword search, the pagination, the results counter and the per-column filters.

Uploading documents: drag and drop and multiple upload

Release during September 2026

The file upload window only accepted one file at a time, with no progress indication, and a rejected format interrupted everything with an alert. You can now drag several files in a single gesture, follow the upload file by file, and know exactly what went through and what was rejected. The same mechanism is available in discussion threads, where it becomes possible to attach documents, as well as in file-type form fields: a parent who has to provide five supporting documents uploads them all at once.

Audit trail in every module

Available in production in the fourth quarter of 2026

The audit trail logs configuration changes: who modified what, when, and what the previous value was. It exists today in four modules (Finance, System Configuration, Admissions and School structure) and will be extended to all the other modules of the platform. An unexplained setting, or a configuration that changed without anyone knowing why, become questions the school answers on its own, in a few clicks.

Coming soon

Passkey login

Third / fourth quarter of 2026

A passkey is a cryptographic key kept by the user's device or by their password manager: you log in simply by unlocking your phone or your computer, with a fingerprint, facial recognition or a code, without typing or copying anything. It will become a login method in its own right on Eduka, for every profile, with the password and two-factor authentication remaining available for the accounts that do not have one. Two immediate benefits: the end of forgotten passwords, and real protection against phishing, since the passkey is tied to the domain name visited.

Complete redesign of the Alumni module

End of the fourth quarter of 2026 / beginning of the first quarter of 2027

The current module amounts to a flat directory and a few forms. Its new version starts from a simple observation: unlike the alumni platforms on the market, Eduka already holds the complete schooling of these people, their classes, their teachers, their classmates, their school trips, their activities and the photos published during their school years. The module reopens these school memories to the former student and gives the school a pool built from the withdrawn students as soon as it is installed, a dashboard, a directory, events, the tracking of what alumni go on to do and the online handling of certificate requests.

Complete redesign of the Academic Counselling module

End of the fourth quarter of 2026 / beginning of the first quarter of 2027

The Academic Counselling module, renamed "Guidance and Pathways", moves from being a generator of interview records to a genuine guidance tool: a referential of courses of study, a portal where the student builds their project and follows their deadlines, application tracking, a document file and destination statistics. It handles the French route (Parcoursup) and international applications on the same screen, which no product on the market does, and fills in the parts of the file with no re-entry, from the data already held in Eduka. The schools using the current module are not affected and will switch when they decide to.

A dashboard in every module

Fourth quarter of 2026

Nine modules that still have no dashboard are going to receive one: Staff data, Transportation, Services, Online shop, Communication, Projects, Timetables, Forum and Knowledge Base. You will now enter these modules through an overview, with the indicators of the domain and the situations that call for action, rather than landing directly on a working screen.

Personalisation of the home page widgets

Fourth quarter of 2026

Each user will be able to compose their own home page, adding for themselves the widgets that the administrator has made available without displaying them by default. The benefit is twofold: the home page as delivered stays simple and legible for the majority of users, while those who want to go further enrich theirs as they see fit. This evolution goes together with the development of a large number of additional widgets.

Project management module

Fourth quarter of 2026 / first quarter of 2027

The Projects module, until now designed for internal use, is being adapted to the way a school works: the notion of customer gives way to the school and to an optional target (class, group or students), and the module opens up to the educational and administrative uses of schools. A pilot school is trialling it this year ahead of a wider release.

Assessments and Reports: secondary school marks

Fourth quarter of 2026 / first quarter of 2027

The module today covers competency-based assessment. It is being extended to secondary education with what secondary schools expect: coefficients per assessment and per subject, weighted averages per subject, per period and overall, handling of the special statuses (absent, not assessed, exempt, not submitted), class statistics and marks-based reports. Marks and competencies can coexist, the assessment regime being defined cycle by cycle, and the current behaviour for primary education is not modified.

Newsletter

Fourth quarter of 2026

Sending a polished communication to families today means reformatting everything by hand, with no stable visual identity and with a rendering that varies from one email client to another. The Communication module will host a genuine Newsletter feature: the school defines its design once (header, colours, font, footer with legal notices and unsubscribe link), then composes each issue from blocks, some of which automatically pick up the news and the agenda already entered in Eduka. Distribution is multi-channel: email, mobile notification and an automatic insert in the portal news.

Simplified data import

Fourth quarter of 2026 / first quarter of 2027

Data import remains a technical exercise, which often ends up requiring assistance from our support team. A guided wizard will take over: you choose a business scenario (enrol students, update schooling, record re-enrolments or withdrawals), you paste your data from a spreadsheet or upload the template file, you look at a meaningful preview, then you validate. The current advanced mode remains available for the users who are comfortable with it.

New features in the CRM module

Fourth quarter of 2026 / first quarter of 2027

The module can currently record only one prospect record per person, which makes it impossible to track several deals for the same contact, for example a parent considering enrolling two children. An Account, Contact and Deal foundation lifts this limit and brings a ready-to-use pipeline, from first contact through to admission, with a list view and a kanban view. Progress is made by drag and drop, and the validation of an admission file moves the deal forward automatically.

And next

Other modules and developments are planned for the longer term: we will present them to you shortly. As always, your feedback directly shapes this roadmap, since most of the evolutions above came from a school's request, from a discussion on this forum or from a support ticket. Please do reply to this message if you would like more details on any of these points.
