Portrait of the School and its Principal: Bastien Capel

The Lycée Français Jacques Prévert de Saly, located on Senegal’s Petite Côte, today welcomes more than 630 students, from preschool to high school. Accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and partnered with AEFE, the school guarantees teaching that is faithful to French curricula while promoting international openness and strong local roots.
This balance between academic rigor and integration into the Senegalese environment lies at the heart of its educational project. The school highlights close relationships between teachers, students, and families, while progressively equipping itself with tools and methods adapted to its development.

The Challenge: Managing Rapid Growth
Between 2021 and 2025, the Lycée Français Jacques Prévert underwent a major transformation: enrollment grew from 420 to 640 students, an increase of more than 50% in just four years. This demographic surge profoundly changed its organization.
From a school perceived as “family-like,” with simple management processes and natural closeness, it has become a mid-sized institution, requiring stronger governance and more robust tools. Added to this growth is the coordination of nearly 70 employees—teachers and administrative staff—implying new HR management and internal procedures.
The local context further heightens these challenges: the rapid gentrification of the Petite Côte brings increased pressure on demand for quality education, while also requiring the school to preserve financial accessibility and cultural anchoring.
Bastien Capel: “The challenge is to adapt governance, internal organization, and management tools to this new scale while preserving educational closeness.”

The Solution: A Trio of Eduka Modules
Faced with this growth, the school chose to professionalize its administrative practices and adopt a single, reliable system: Eduka. Three modules in particular have proven decisive:

- Admissions Module: transformed previously fragmented and partly manual enrollment processes into a centralized, digitized, and traceable flow. Families now enjoy transparent tracking, while the administration benefits from reliable file management.
- Finance Module: the growing student population made billing complex and time-consuming. Eduka introduced a precise system for invoice creation and monitoring, payment tracking, and proactive management of unpaid fees.
- Extracurricular Activities Module: the diversification of after-school services (cultural, sports, daycare, etc.) required a structured tool. Eduka now centralizes registrations, payments, and follow-up, providing clarity and simplification for both families and staff.
By bringing together these three dimensions—admissions, finance, and extracurricular services—on a single platform, the school has taken a major step forward in its structuring.
Bastien Capel: “The Admissions Module allows us to secure enrollment procedures and their tracking, while the Finance Module makes billing, payment control, and unpaid management easier.”
Results: Centralization and Greater Reliability
The transition to Eduka, carried out between May 2025 and September 2025, represented a significant investment of time and administrative staff effort. Yet the school is already reaping tangible benefits.
After only four months of use:
- Teams report improved data reliability and consistency across admissions, billing, and services.
- Centralization has eliminated duplicates and reduced repetitive tasks, saving valuable time for staff.
- Families enjoy a simplified experience, with a single access point for managing enrollments, payments, and activities.
Bastien Capel: “After four months of use, we are beginning to measure Eduka’s potential in terms of reliability and time savings. The centralization of admissions, billing, and extracurricular activities has already strengthened our efficiency.”
The initial investment has proven worthwhile: the school now has a solid foundation to support future growth without overburdening its teams.
Eduka Support Team: A Decisive Partner
Eduka’s support played a key role in the project’s success. Bastien Capel emphasizes the importance of the team’s proximity and responsiveness:

“Eduka’s support was decisive in the success of the transition. The staff, available and competent, provided direct and responsive assistance.”
At the same time, online resources (guides, videos, tutorials) made it easier for the teams to progressively adopt the tool, offering complementary support. The combination of personalized follow-up and on-demand resources allowed the school to move forward at a steady pace without disruption.
Thanks to this support, the school was able to approach a demanding transition under the best conditions, turning an organizational challenge into an opportunity for professionalization and modernization.
