The Franco-Senegalese School
Founded in 1974 as part of the France-Senegal cooperation agreement, the École Franco-Sénégalaise (EFS) is a primary school welcoming around 760 students. It offers the French curriculum from CP to CM2 (Grades 1–5) and the Senegalese curriculum from CM1 to CM2 (Grades 4–5).
The school operates across two campuses in Dakar: the Fann Campus and the Dial Diop Campus.

Challenges
Historically a public, tuition-free school, EFS introduced major reforms in 2014 that included the implementation of tuition fees. This led to a significant increase in administrative workload and several challenges:
• Inefficient manual processes: Student data was manually entered and often spread across multiple files, leading to errors and inconsistencies.
• Difficulties with fee collection: Tuition fee collection lacked precision, making it difficult to access accurate, real-time financial data.
• Reliance on external management: Invoicing and financial management were handled by an external firm, slowing down processes and limiting visibility for key stakeholders.
We also experienced significant difficulties in collecting tuition fees, and especially in having an accurate financial picture in a timely manner.
Solutions Provided by Eduka
To address these issues, EFS turned to Eduka and particularly leveraged the Finance module, which revolutionized their administrative and financial management by enabling real-time monitoring of payments and outstanding balances. Key improvements included:
• Automated invoicing: Unlike previous years, invoicing is now handled internally with speed and accuracy.
• Increased visibility for stakeholders: Parents receive receipts on time and can check the status of their invoices and payments at any moment.
• Constant availability: Student lists and all related information are now centralized and accessible in just a few clicks.
Results
Thanks to Eduka, EFS has significantly improved its processes:
• Significant time savings: Administrative tasks are streamlined, allowing the team to focus on higher-value activities.
• Data consistency: All staff now work from the same information when managing admissions, student records, and related modules such as After-School Activities (AES).
• Improved parent satisfaction: Parents benefit from fast, reliable communication regarding payments and invoicing.
