Fortnox is one of Sweden’s most widely used cloud accounting platforms. Without an integration, finance teams re-enter every invoice and receipt into Fortnox by hand. Eduka’s Fortnox integration removes that entirely: school billing becomes bookkeeping entries in Fortnox on their own, over a live, secure connection.

How does the integration work?

You connect Eduka to your Fortnox account once, through Fortnox’s secure OAuth login — Eduka then keeps the connection alive on its own, refreshing its access automatically. From then on, a synchronization posts your pending entries to Fortnox as bookkeeping vouchers through the Fortnox API: customer invoices go in under one voucher series and customer payments under another, each carrying the debit and credit rows built from Eduka’s accounting entries and tied to the originating invoice. If Fortnox ever rejects an entry, the sync locks itself rather than pushing bad data repeatedly — your team can view the exact error and unlock it once resolved.

Customer invoices — posted as Fortnox bookkeeping vouchers with their full accounting rows.
Customer payments — posted as their own vouchers, ready to reconcile against the invoices they settle.
A secure, self-maintaining connection — an OAuth2 link scoped to bookkeeping, invoices, customers and payments, with automatic token refresh so it keeps working without re-authenticating.
Safe by design — an API error locks the sync and records the details, so nothing is posted twice or left half-recorded; a one-click unlock resumes once it’s fixed.
