Why connect Eduka and Lyra?
Lyra is a widely used European payment gateway, trusted for security and regulatory compliance. Parents pay with the bank cards they already use; for the school, the integration collects fees faster, cuts manual reminders, and keeps everything reconciled without double entry.
How does the Lyra integration work?
Lyra is enabled as the online payment platform for one of your school’s bank accounts in Eduka’s Finance module. When a parent pays, Eduka hands them to Lyra’s secure hosted payment page, where the card is entered and authenticated with 3D Secure (PSD2 strong customer authentication) — card details never touch Eduka. Payments are taken in euros or West African CFA francs (XOF). Lyra then notifies Eduka with a cryptographic signature that Eduka verifies before accepting; the confirmed payment is recorded against the family’s invoice, with the card brand, issuing bank and country captured for reference. Duplicate or late notifications are guarded against, so a payment is never counted twice.

- Outstanding balances, invoices and installments — from the family’s finance page on the parent portal.
- Admission and application fees — collected during online enrollment in the Admissions module.
- Activity and service subscriptions — validated and invoiced automatically once payment clears.
