Eduka connects to Pronote through Index Éducation’s official partner interface: Eduka stays the administrative master of your student data, Pronote receives it automatically, and classes, timetables and absences flow back — with single sign-on tying the two together for your whole school community.

Why connect Eduka and Pronote?

In French-curriculum schools, including the AEFE network, Pronote is the reference tool for school life and grades. Run separately from your school management system, the two databases drift apart within weeks — duplicated entry, mismatched classes, orphaned accounts. Eduka’s Pronote integration keeps a single source of truth: administrative data is maintained once, in Eduka, and everything else follows.

How does the integration work?

The integration is managed from Eduka’s Configuration module, in two modes: a fully automatic scheduled synchronisation over a secured API, or a manual file exchange when you prefer to keep a hand on the wheel. Every exchange is validated against Index Éducation’s official XML schemas and digitally signed, and every synchronisation is recorded change by change in a sync log, batch by batch. A mapping screen gives you full control over which Eduka field feeds each Pronote field — including French administrative specifics such as UAI school numbers (two supported), académie and school status.

What is synchronised?

Eduka → Pronote — students, guardians and their responsibilities, staff and classes, exported with your custom field mapping.
Pronote → Eduka — classes, subjects and options, timetables (with rooms) and staff, each selectable individually. Imported timetables feed Eduka’s Timetable module and are protected from being overwritten.
Absences — absences recorded in Pronote can be imported into Eduka so dependent services, such as the canteen, adjust automatically.
Single sign-on — under the official partnership between Eduka Software and Index Éducation, in place since the 2018/19 school year, an identity-reconciliation file pairs every account on both sides: from Pronote’s home screen, one click takes students, parents and staff straight into Eduka, already signed in to their own account.

The Pronote integration is part of Eduka’s data-exchange toolset for schools running the French programme, developed against Index Éducation’s partner specifications. Eduka’s Admissions module is the entry point: enrolments, re-enrolments and withdrawals initialise each school year and drive student flows, and the synchronisation carries every change into Pronote from there. The school administration works in one system while teaching life continues in Pronote — with nobody typing the same data twice.
