School transport routes, stops and times appear on an interactive map, for the school and for families.
Why show school transport on a map?
A list of stops and times is hard to read for a family looking for the nearest pick-up point. On a map, everyone spots their stop at a glance. For the school, building routes becomes more visual.
How does the integration work?
When building routes, you search for an address or click directly on the map to place a stop. Each route appears in its own color, with numbered stops and their times. For families, the map shows the school, the guardians’ homes and the stops their children already use, and parents can choose their stop on the map when they sign up.
What the integration handles
- Routes, stops and times on an interactive map
- Stops placed by address search or with a click on the map
- Each route in its own color, with numbered stops
- Stop chosen on the map when signing up for transport
- The days each route runs shown for every stop
- A version that works in mainland China, using Google’s Chinese maps service
The map is part of Eduka’s School Transport module, which manages routes, stops, sign-ups and transport zones.
