Boleto integration

Eduka generates Brazilian boletos — the bank payment slips families settle at a bank, ATM or app — for your school’s invoices, lets families download them from the parent portal, and reconciles each payment automatically from your bank’s return file — the whole boleto cycle, inside your school management system.

Why connect Eduka and Boleto?

Boleto bancário is the most widely used payment method in Brazil. Running it by hand means issuing slips one by one and matching bank returns against invoices manually. Eduka’s Boleto integration automates the full cycle — generation, distribution and reconciliation — so a Brazilian school collects fees the way families expect, without the manual reconciliation load.

How does the integration work?

Eduka is configured for your Brazilian bank — Itaú or Santander — in the Finance module. For each invoice, Eduka generates a boleto with its barcode, bank details and a unique bank reference (the nosso número) so every slip can be tracked. Families find their boletos on the parent portal and download each one as a print-ready PDF. When the bank sends its CNAB return file (CNAB 400 for Itaú, CNAB 240 for Santander), Eduka imports it and reconciles automatically: each paid boleto is matched back to its invoices by that reference, the family account is updated, and late fees or short payments are detected and flagged.

What Eduka handles

  • Boleto generation — one boleto per invoice (or grouping several invoices), with barcode, bank details and a unique bank reference.
  • Parent portal distribution — families view and download their boletos themselves, as print-ready PDFs, so there’s nothing to email out.
  • Automatic reconciliation — the bank’s CNAB return file is imported and matched to invoices, updating each family’s balance.
  • Fees and discrepancies — late-payment fines and partial payments are recognised and reported during reconciliation.

Built for Brazilian school finance teams

The Boleto integration is part of Eduka’s Finance module, which manages the full billing cycle for schools: fee schedules, invoicing, payments, reminders and reporting — so boletos, payments and reconciliation live alongside the invoices they settle.
