Debt collection : A Four step proactive approach before term 3 billing
As Term 3 billing approaches and the end of the school year draws near, it is essential to secure a strong collection rate. A structured four-step approach helps anticipate risks and effectively manage outstanding balances.
1. Global overview – Finance Module / Dashboard
An initial review by fee provides a clear view of the amounts involved and helps quickly identify potentially sensitive situations.
2. Detailed analysis – Outstanding balances and aged balance
The available analysis tools — ageing, list of families with outstanding balances, aged balance with or without payment schedules, and outstanding balance reports — make it possible to accurately assess delays and identify action priorities.
The Finance / Reminders module facilitates sending reminders to families and ensures proper tracking of communications.
These messages help families clearly understand their situation, encourage regularization, and reduce corrective exchanges.
4. Handling persistent cases – Legal receivables
When reminders remain unanswered, outstanding debts can be transferred to legal receivables in order to ensure formal and appropriate follow-up.

Projected student numbers to build your future timetables
As part of preparing timetables for the upcoming school year, Eduka allows you to populate your timetable application (EDT) with students coming from re-enrollments and new enrollments. If you are using the Index Education suite (EDT–Pronote), the work carried out on a standalone EDT database is fed by two lists: enrolled students and re-enrolled students. For those not using EDT, the lists exported from Eduka can be adapted to your needs.
– Time savings and simplicity through transfers using a simple Excel format,
– Reliable core student data integrated into your projected timetables (last name, first name, date of birth),
– Accurate collection of the correct academic tracks and options for the next school year (N+1),
– Export of student photos for import into Pronote,
– Regular updates of newly enrolled students through exports up until the summer,
– An optimal method to easily prepare synchronization between Eduka / Pronote / Eduka from the start of the school year.

Evaluations: a positive first review across fifteen schools
Eduka’s Evaluations & Reports module has just completed its first semester in around fifteen schools worldwide. With close attention paid to user feedback, each participating school was invited to share their experience through a recently distributed survey and can continue to express expectations via the new Forum available on our CCC platform.
Several new features have already been deployed:
- Teacher access to a “preview” version of report cards before they are sent to families,
- Table-based entry mode to simplify input of comments and assessments,
- Consideration of “Not Evaluated” or “Absent” statuses in assessment consolidation,
- Improved usability of the configuration linking Competencies / Subjects / Classes / Teachers,
- A second level of mastery by subject for other educational systems (e.g., Attitude to Learning),
More features are coming in the next few weeks:
- Creation of an “End-of-Cycle Report” template for cycles 1, 2, and 3,
- Data export for use outside Eduka,
- Refined configuration of LSU-type grading scales,
Our teams also continue to monitor annual updates to the framework set by the French Ministry of Education, which serves as a reference for the pre-configurations provided to schools.

Ergonomics: a complete redesign of your homepage
Eduka’s traditional homepage, with its familiar colorful buttons, is reaching the end of its lifecycle after nearly ten years of reliable use.
As the number and diversity of modules have grown—along with the need to tailor them to different roles—this evolution has led to a new, more flexible interface. The homepage is now customizable both by individual users and by the school’s platform administrators.
- Grouping of modules by role and by theme,
- Improved visibility of news and school life,
- User-level customization of block and icon layout,
- Profile-based customization managed by the administrator,
This new homepage also paves the way for additional features, such as indicators that provide a quick overview of pending tasks or key data you are monitoring.
The new interface will be available on a voluntary basis before a full rollout to all schools in summer 2026.
Stay tuned to Eduka news in the coming weeks to be notified of the launch of this new homepage.

Education world news

The number of students in tertiary education has doubled in 10 years
According to UNESCO, the number of students enrolled in higher education worldwide has more than doubled over the past two decades, rising from around 100 million in 2000 to 269 million in 2024.
Today, on average, 43% of the higher education-age population participates in tertiary education — the highest level ever recorded.
This growth is creating challenges and placing unprecedented pressure on both universities and students.

Smartphones in school: Trends toward a ban
On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, the European Commission has presented a new action plan to combat cyberbullying.
58% of countries worldwide are choosing to ban the use of mobile phones in schools. Only 24% of countries had implemented such measures three years ago. The acceleration of this trend can be explained by declining attention in classrooms and the rise of cyberbullying.
However, it is not just about banning devices. It is equally important to establish good practices so that these tools are not demonized and can be used for educational purposes.
Eduka Support : The real difference maker for hundreds of schools

The Eduka suite simplifies and automates the daily operations of hundreds of schools around the world thanks to innovative features and unmatched adaptability. Beyond the tool itself, Eduka’s support — made up of experts in education, administration, and school financial management — enables all our clients to manage their institutions with complete peace of mind.
Wondering what our clients say about Eduka’s support? You’re in the right place: we now have a page showcasing feedback from schools around the world.
Strengthening traceability of Eduka access
Eduka is enhancing GDPR compliance with a new system of automatic notifications. From now on, each school’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) is informed whenever an Eduka consultant logs in (whether in production or test environments), ensuring full traceability of access and interventions.
Easy to activate, this feature improves transparency, facilitates audits, and is part of a broader approach to strengthening data security. In addition, a service continuity guide is available to help your teams respond effectively in the event of an incident.
